The cemetery of the Brothers of the Christian Schools was the final resting place of Brother Raymond Meunier. He was a stretcher-bearer at the front in World War I, like many monastics. He was killed in Ramskapelle while taking care of the wounded. In 1923 his remains were interred here. A few years ago, the municipality cleared his grave.
The grave of Brother Modestus was also cleared. He died of typhus, which he had probably contracted as a stretcher-bearer at the front. He was also reburied here in 1923. That was a moment of intense collective mourning. His coffin was taken from the station of Dilbeek to the cemetery. Eight brother stretcher-bearers in uniform were followed by brothers and novices, community councillors, the brass band and a crowd of Dilbek residents.
