Underlay mill, already from the Middle Ages there is talk of a water mill, but the first mill was located a little further on the Oude Nete and the Creyndertloop. Reportedly transferred here in 1324 and mentioned as "ter Nuwermolen", later rebuilt in stone in 1678 (see year anchors). Sold as a national asset in 1797. On the Vandermaelen map mentioned as "Moulin à Grain et à Huile", but formerly also oak bark mill for tanneries and after the First World War production site of electricity. Wooden water wheel replaced by metal in 1928. Repairs in 1981.
