Located on the Rupeldijk, north of the sailing pond of the same name. According to a 17th-century polder map, there used to be two walled farms, see the current ramparts and preserved pond to the west. During the investigation, a very dilapidated and empty castle, said to have originally been a hunting pavilion of the Counts of Hoorn, mentioned in 1698 as a playhouse and dilapidated castle. Current classicist castle built circa 1797 for the de Meester family and enlarged in the third quarter of the 19th century (circa 1850-1860) with the neo-Gothic tower; restored circa 1900 and extended with a portico during the Second World War (1941). Restoration works designed by J. Heymans and H. Lejon since 1994.
