These works will provide a more pleasant living environment. The entire park will be redesigned and a footpath will be created along a series of "sensory beds".
The renewed park also brings more biodiversity to the residential area, because of the open water and adapted management, interesting plant species, butterflies and amphibians get new opportunities to settle and develop.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the interventions will certainly ensure a safer living environment. The new wide and deep bed with marshy zones, pools and infiltration basins collects a lot of water and retains it on site, much more and better than the current collector. So the chance of flooding along the Vuilbeek will decrease.
