A soil of red, ferruginous shale gives the wines grown here a strong minerality, somewhat comparable with that of the wines of the Jura. Frank Delandshere and his grandfather, Roger Dupont, take pleasure in cultivating 600 vines of noble grape varieties (“except for Gamaret, which isn’t one”) and sharing their experience with visitors.
