The collegiate church of Sainte-Croix, exceptional heritage site of Wallonia, was founded in 979 by bishop Notger and was part of the seven collegiate churches in Liège. The church comprises three naves: a western choir in Romanesque-Gothic style (late 12th c.), an eastern choir, a Gothic transept and nave (13th-14th c.). several major items make up the treasure : Evrard's sculptures, St Hubertus's Key, the Triptych of the True Cross, the Master of Flémalle's painting. Access to the church is only during masses or during specific events (please check the website) and on guided tours.
