Colt geese land in large groups in the meadow in front of the entrance of the Hazewinkel in winter.
The goose, Anser albifrons, can be recognized by the white border around the base of the beak to the forehead, by its orange-red legs and by the black transverse bands on the abdomen.
These colt geese hibernate en masse in the low countries, which thus have an important role in the survival of this species, which breeds in the Siberian tundra.
