The feathers are a wonderful snack during your walking or cycling trip. The ferryman will sail you across the river for free , all year round! And that is unique in Flanders!
On 20 October 2017 , the new jetty at the Sint-Amands ferry was put into use. The floating pontoon is 100 meters long and is not only intended for the ferry service, but also pleasure yachts and tourist tours can now moor there.
You can take the ferry to Moerzeke (part of Kastel), but you can also sail to Mariekerke.
