In the Country House in Bornem you will find the information office of Toerisme Klein-Brabant - Scheldeland vzw, which promotes and develops tourism in the municipalities of Puurs-Sint-Amands and Bornem. You will also find the council chamber, the wedding hall and the municipal archive. From 1925 to 1961 the town hall was located here.
The yellowish sandstone makes it look like it was built in the Middle Ages, but that is not true. It is much younger and dates from 1913-1914. It is built in neo-Flemish Renaissance style, after a design by provincial architect Careels.
