In 1950 Marcel Kint opened a bike shop above his café Valkenburg in Zwevegem. During the day he was a bike maker, at night he ran a café. The bikes made by Kint's brand quickly became a success, thanks to his reputation but also to the excellent quality of the bikes. The workshop in Zwevegem quickly became too small, so in 1956 Marcel moved to Proosdijstraat in Kortrijk. His son and now his grandson are successfully carrying on the business.
