As an organic farm, Groen te Kracht goes beyond growing organic vegetables. It is a philosophy in itself: connection and respect for each other and nature are central to this. Since 1986, Jean-Pierre Smets and Esmeralda Morris, together with their team of passionate employees, have been working on the land of organic farmer Groen te Kracht as a close-knit family business.

Groen te Kracht stands for high-quality, healthy and tasty vegetables. The organic vegetables that we offer in the farm shop of the organic farm in Herent are grown with respect for nature, people and the environment. For an organic, organic and dynamic cultivation of the vegetables, plants and flowers, soil fertility and green fertilization are the basis. By means of the construction of green belts, agroforestry (the planting of a food forest), wood edges, flower beds and insect buffets, Groen te Kracht greens the agricultural model. This results in less intensively cultivated areas with more diversity and an increasingly wide range. Groen te Kracht continues to look for the most suitable varieties to grow in the Flemish Brabant region. All this under organic certification by tuv-nord. As farmers in the short chain, they are in direct contact with their customers. These are both families or companies that buy organic vegetables in our store and organic farmers who purchase organic planting material and / or seeds. In order to have as few intermediate steps as possible between the field and your board, they mainly work locally.
