This chapel from 1905 was built as a reminder of legal activities that took place here. According to tradition, there was a pillory here in the 18th century. Convicts were tied to this pillory as punishment. Sometimes they were also pelted with rotten fruit. Although the current chapel only dates from 1905, there would have been a chapel on this site before. The coat of arms at the top of the chapel is that of the Lords of Boesinghe, an illustrious noble family, owners of the nearby farm and chapel. The name Leuzestraat does not refer to the municipality of Leuze, but to the annoying critters (lice).
