The hangar from 1922 has been used to store and maintain hot air balloons. The balloons were used for strategic and climatic observations. After the Second World War, the shed was used to house heavy cranes and lifting equipment. The warehouse has been empty since the 1970s. It is a protected monument with a high historical and industrial-archaeological value. This site is also home to the PIVO, training centre of the province of Flemish Brabant for police, fire brigade, etc.
