With the climb of De Schorre we present you with a course that can actually score all 3 categories. Are you looking for the most beautiful cycling point in the Rupel region, would you like to hang out the real Flandrien on our cobblestone strips or will a real climbing goat emerge in you? Then this challenge is definitely something for you.
Depart from the cycling museum De Velodroom at cycle junction 26 and take the bicycle tunnel under the Kapelstraat to De Schorre. Cycling further under the famous Arne Quinze bridge you cycle to the Delta meadow you immediately end up on a large outdoor slope where you can immediately measure your cobblestone talents. After this tough cobblestone strip you can start the climb to the top of the Schorre. This climb can be cycled up on asphalt or also via the cobblestone strip. This slope is also included as a sharp judge and mountain prize in the cycling race "Ster van Aartselaar". At the top you can also cycle a bit to a hidden gem - the troll tower - to enjoy a beautiful view. In clear weather you can even see the Atomium of Brussels shining here.
Afterwards you descend further along the Bosstraat to end in the unique cycling café "De Musette" at junction 26, where you can recharge the necessary energy to continue your trip.
