The Bastion of Bourgogne is not far from the bridge of Cordemois . It was built in 1680 by Vauban .
Together with the Bastion of Brittany and the Bastion du Dauphin , this fortified structure was spared during the dismantling of the XIXth century. That is why it is historically so special. Until 1958 it was used as a municipal slaughterhouse . At the end of the 1990s it was restored by the tennis club of Bouillon, which is still there. It has a very nice oak frame. It has been classified since 1975.
The first floor, dedicated to the Ardennes painter Pierre Clouet (1920-1991), is used for cultural purposes . Many temporary exhibitions take place.
