Here once stood the old railway stop of the Sonian Forest on line 161 Brussels-Namur. At the start of the 20th century, this small station offered the opportunity to Brussels residents to reach the forest by train, from May to October. The building, which has now disappeared, was one of the small stations that the painter Paul Delvaux (1897-1994) particularly cherished and that can be found in some of his paintings, notably in 'La gare forestière.'
