Promenade des legends - Le Verbouc

In legendary tales he is described as a difficult-to-describe fantastic creature or a creature with an animal appearance and a demonic character, or as a distinctly fantastic animal but not born of man and the goat. He is the embodiment or servant of the devil. He sometimes lets himself be fooled when he fulfills an order from the devil.

Dealing with the devil is always dangerous. But it is sometimes very tempting, and various legends tell us that the smart people of the Ardennes have been smarter than the evil one.

This artwork is part of 'the walk of the legends / la promenade des légendes'. This is a 2.2 km looped walk in Laforêt where more than 10 creatures from the legends formerly told around the fire are depicted in scenes.
