Description

Witches are women of all ages. In most stories, they are good acquaintances , neighbors, or relatives.

They are said to have struck a deal with the devil in exchange for magical powers to charm or attract people. They meet at the Witches' Sabbath . They also have medicinal properties. In other words, witches don't flaunt their magic. It's up to their victims to expose them.

This artwork by S. Collard et F. Pierret is part of the "Promenade des Legendes / Promenade des Légendes". It is a 2.2 km circular route in Laforêt where more than 10 creatures from the legends once told about fire are staged.
