In 1975 this monument was inaugurated next to the Church of Our Lady of Consolation as a memorial to the victims of the world wars . It is the work of the architects Goddin and Buscaglia. Hotton residents call the monument "the Beer Bomb".
In fact, it is a pair of pliers whose two jaws are reminiscent of the two wars . The hands try to loosen their grip . It symbolizes the subjugation and restriction of movement that the occupier imposed on the population.
