On the topographic map of 1873 you can see that the now so busy IJsbergstraat that connects Vlezenbeek with the Ninoffsesteenweg, had not yet been extended. The road turned into a path. That path later became a cobblestone road that you can still see today. Even in 1939 the road had not yet been extended. On the base map of 1969 you can see that the IIjsbergstraat forms an important connection with the Ninoofesteenweg. On the map of 1969 you can also clearly see that the second railway line to Brussels was extended and intersected the Oude Geraardsbergsebaan. You can also see that there was a slaughterhouse here on the railway line.
