Description

This chapel was built by the Vranken family with the remaining stones of a farm.

In 1976 the chapel was thoroughly renovated by the neighbourhood.

On the altar is a statue of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart . This Mary carries the child on her left arm and holds a heart with her right hand at the level of the heart of Jesus. At her feet lies a snake with an apple in its mouth.

Now it is a place where you can relax. It is especially busy during the month of May.

The photos are from the year 2022, a year in which the Marian celebrations take place in Peer. This happens every 25 years and then the chapels are decorated with blue and white (flags), the colors of Mary.
