The Fonteinpad and the Fonteinstraat are long straight streets that run through the Wijnendale area.
It is paved and is often used by cyclists to avoid the busy N33 and Diksmuidebaan.
It is also a pleasant path for walkers and especially for strollers . Near the castle is the chapel of the Virgin Mary and the ice cellar. There is some elevation gain on the bridge due to the proximity of the Ruidenberg .
