Fountain Fonteinbeek - Torhout

Description

This is where the Fonteinbeek rises .

Although fish ponds are known to have been built in the Wijnendalebos, we can assume that this pond was built as a reservoir for the source of the Fonteinbeek, the source of Roopipe.

The Swal is a wet lake in Koekelaarse. Due to its location, a lot of water leaks out, but the leaking water also leaks out horizontally because it collides with an impenetrable layer of clay. Result: 7 sources , of which Roopîjpfontein is one.
