This image, '23. L'évêque', by Christine Jongen dates from 2003-2004 and is part of a series of fifteen bronze statuettes along an educational trail in Tournai. Each one illustrates the personalities, functions and professions that have shaped Tournai's reputation over the centuries. The statues are cast in bronze, 70 to 75 centimeters high and placed on pillars 2.8 m high, in wood, reinforced by a structure in stainless steel.
The bishop lived in the cathedral and also maintained political connections in the city.
