Plaque commemorating the transfer of power between Kings Albert II and Philip in front of the tree planted for the occasion
July 21, 2013 is a symbolic date for the Kingdom of Belgium, as this national holiday also marked the accession to the throne of King Philippe, who succeeded his father, King Albert II.
In the presence of a delegation of the patriotic associations of Floing (French Ardennes), the patriotic associations and the local authorities of Aywaille inaugurated the plaque commemorating the transfer of power between King Albert II and King Philip, at the foot of the tree that was planted was to commemorate the attachment of the municipality of Aywaille to the royal family.
The memorial plaque contains portraits of the two kings and the following text:
