Chapelle Sainte-Bernadette - Sugny

This small stone chapel on the Domaine Marial in Sugny was built between 1932 and 1934.

It is covered with mosaics and crowned with a cast-iron crucifix.
In the lower area there is a sun lounger behind a metal grille. In the upper part, under a dome and in front of a colored mosaic, is a statue of Saint Bernadette, dressed as a nun , with her hands clasped and holding a rosary. The mosaic shows the crowned Virgin (Regina Coeli) surrounded by 2 angels who also wear a crown.

The mosaic is a representation of large fragments of colored ceramic, cut to resemble stained glass.

On the edge of the stone that separates the reclining statue from the statue of Saint Bernadette, there is an inscription:

I PROMISE TO MAKE YOU HAPPY NOT IN THIS WORLD, BUT IN THE NEXT.
