The Strépy-Bracquegnies reserve is located between the villages of Trivières and Maurage , near the Strépy-Thieu boat lift.
This 37-hectare site consists of several ponds surrounded by trees and lush vegetation, including a pond in a Natura 2000 zone and another pond reserved for fish . An interesting site to discover if you are in the area! During a walk, you can come across animals such as swans, egrets, kingfishers, bats, turtles, etc. You will also observe a very diverse flora with reed beds, willow swamps, duckweed mats, and many others.
It is recommended to go in autumn for the variety of colours and reflections, or in April to see bats and migratory birds .
There is on-site parking , as well as picnic tables and a brasserie.
