There are no mountains in Borsbeek, but there is an authentic mountain hut. Thanks to the Assumptionist Fathers, who built a wooden church in this place and subsequently expanded their parish. One of the fathers, Father Gabriel, was fascinated by the mountains and the architecture of Tyrol. This way, their new building acquired this typical appearance. It soon became a popular place with a café-restaurant and a playground, where visitors came from far outside Borsbeek.
Today, the Tirolerhof is a meeting center for the neighborhood, where young parents come for Child & Family, where you can have your broken items repaired at the Repair Café, or where seniors come to play cards.
