Meet in the Rue de la Station at Juslenville station (V). You leave with the train station on your left, pass in front of the Sports Center of Theux with gym, tennis and football fields then pedal on the bridge for pedestrians and cyclists on the Hogne. On the other side, you pedal left to Place Vinave. Keep right and pedal at the roundabout on right on rue Chinrue, direction E25, Centre Ville and Spa. At the church of Theux follow All Directions turn right and at the roundabout turn left towards Spa. Immediately leave the busy road by turning right towards Jevoumont. You can immediately climb two kilometers. Along the way, you will be rewarded with a beautiful panorama. • At the T-junction you will see Château Nagelmackers (1857) 1 on the left. Pedal right, pass the Tithe Farm 2, an impressive four-storey seventeenth-century farmhouse, which now houses a restaurateur with banquet halls. Ignore all secondary roads and spot on the left the Château de l'Ourlaine and on the right the farm of La Haye 3, a fortified farm of the seventeenth century. It is currently an experimental farm in the province of Liège. You pass in front of the agglomeration sign of VieuxCourtil, leave the road of Chicheu on the right and do the same with the road of the Ferme Saint-Remacle. • A little further, you will pass Wildpark Forestia 4 and then on the N606. Take a sharp turn to the left and pass glass containers away from the busy road. It now continues hilly and at an intersection with a farm, you pedal straight. You can already see the church of Becco in the distance and from above. It goes down sharply and then all of a sudden straight. Now comes a more than difficult climb. Princely Horticultural School After a turn, you climb further through a grove, you then arrive at a modern chapel between the hedges. Continue straight, ignore the back roads and pass the cemetery and the picturesque church of Becco, with a beautiful tree in front, until you reach the T-junction. Pedal right and at the first crossroads, in a natural stone house, keep left. Enjoy the view and turn left after the cemetery with the paved road. At the end turn left again, direction La Reid. Take the first street on the right, rue Fraineux, direction Desnié. Continue pedaling through the open landscape to the five-way point. Turn right onto Hautregard. At the first fork, take Huta Street on the left, direction Ninglinspo. Ignore Dessus Laqui Street on the right, coming from the right, cross an intersection and pass in front of the Vert Buisson nameplate. Leave a cul-de-sac on the right and turn left just before the sign 'La Vecquée – voie Médievale'. At the corner to the right is a field cross with some rocks in front. At the first crossroads, with an unpaved road on the right, you pedal straight. • It now continues between the meadows by the rue du Vieux Passay. At a second intersection with another dirt road on the right and a road on the left which is also called Rue du Vieux Passay, you continue by bike straight. Then you arrive at the first intersection of paved roads. Here you follow the Chemin du Congo on the left. At the end turn right until the mandatory stop. On the right, at the back, we can see the church of Haute-Desnié. Pedal left, direction Spa. Enjoy the beautiful view, do not worry about the secondary roads, pass in front of the sign of agglomeration of Winamplanche and entering the village, take the first road on the left, towards La Reid. Get out of the village. On the right you have a beautiful view of Winamplanche. Climb further along the IPEA La Reid 5. This Provincial Institute of Agronomic Education is a provincial school of extra on2 construction in the province of Liège. IPEA La Reid, in collaboration with the West Flanders School of Horticulture in Kortrijk, took care of the floral decoration on the occasion of King Filip's swearing-in on 21 July 2013. • On the N697 you turn left into a sharp bend, away from the busy road. Then take the first street on the right. You descend sharply between the meadows on a narrow paved road. Keep in mind that traffic can come from the other side. At the end, follow the busiest lane on the left. Ignore a street to the left and right that meet at a single point, and turn right in front of the white statue of Mary. Go down to the church. On the other side is the Gropierre chip shop-restaurant. Beautiful castle ruins Turn right towards the five jumps. Leave the street on the Hour on the right and turn right next to the house number 23, so almost straight, in the rue du Chemal. Note: straight ahead, the street is also called that. You cycle through a gently rolling meadow landscape with wooded hills in the background and through Hestroumont until you reach the N62. It is a busy road and there is no bike path. Follow it towards Theux. Take the first road on the left, the Chemin de Chivrou, a street for local traffic. This way, you have to do much less cycling on the busy road. You climb between the loose buildings and find yourself on a different road twice. Turn right twice. Then you can get off and you will return to the N62. Turn right for a while, direction Spa, then in the first street on the left. Ignore a street on the right and pedal further to the T. On the right, cross the bridge over the Wayai River, then turn left. When the street ends in dead ends, you continue pedaling along a beautiful church path. The Wayai diverts from the widening path and you get a nice view of the ruins of the castle of Franchimont 6. But Franchimont is best known for the history lessons on the 600 Franchimontais (see box). • At Franchimont train station you can see the church of Franchimont in front of you. Cross the railway tracks, ignore Rue Prés des Lys on the right and continue cycling until you can turn left into Rue Chaufheid. Cross the Hogne by the bridge, pass an old factory and start a long steep climb, a big calf bite. The road becomes hollow for a while, and then you go from a loose building to a T-Left crossroads. You have to go up, pass the sign of Sassor Village and the sign of agglomeration of Sassor. At a crossroads, you ignore the road to Theux on the left and pedal further towards Verviers and Fays. • The road becomes hollow and you continue to climb. Ignore a hollow road for farm vehicles on the left, then take the Secret Army Road on the left. You can now descend sharply, winding between two hedges. Turn left with the road and pass a war memorial on the N657. Cross it and climb further after the Eurglomeration d'Oneux panel. At the T-junction on the left, take Al Goffe Road. At a cross, you stay to the right and go down a hollow road to the T-junction, with a tree in the middle of a square that is none. There you pedal to the left. You descend on a hollow road and pass the Juslenville conurbation sign to a T-junction. Turn left to the N690. Turn right and immediately after the traffic lights, turn left into Rue des Ecoles. At the fork turn left, then cross the railway tracks and turn left into Rue de la Station. You are back to the starting point.
