HUESKER Synthetic GmbH

In December 1861, the company was founded as a limited partnership H. & J. Huesker & Co., in Gescher. The industrial spirit of optimism of the 19th century and the successful cultivation of flax and hemp made the Münsterland a centre of the European textile industry.

In 1863, therefore, the production of cotton fabrics began in the newly constructed factory building. The Wilhelminian period made the rapid growth possible. In 1867, production was already carried out on 200 looms.

In addition to the mass market, an extensive niche market developed for special functional products in technically demanding and economically very effective applications. In 1958, HUESKER recognized the excellent future prospects of synthetic fabrics and began the production of technical textiles with the production of filter tarpaulins and dike bags.

This was followed by the development of geosynthetics with multiple functions. Sophisticated combination applications for separating, filtering and draining functions have been designed

The continuous expansion of the product range led to the founding of the independent HUESKER Synthetic GmbH in 1973 – an independent, medium-sized company. A global player with an extensive sales network of competent partners.
