Hikers can expect steep climbs to the viewpoints on the Schankelberg and Hascheid. There you can enjoy fantastic views of the Prims valley and the Nonnweiler valley bridge. In between, narrow paths through old beech trees lead to idyllic stream passages along the Prims and Forstelbach rivers. Below the summit of the Kahlenberg, you hike along cool, shady paths through the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park.

Since the Middle Ages, the legend of Hubertus has been told, according to which Hubertus was converted while hunting by a magnificent stag with a cross between its antlers. This is why Hubertus is regarded as the patron saint of hunting.Hikers can expect steep climbs to the viewpoints on the Schankelberg and Hascheid with fantastic views of the Prims valley and the Nonnweiler valley. In between, narrow paths through old beech trees lead to idyllic stream passages along the Prims and Forstelbach streams.The Nonnweiler dam, with a capacity of around 20 million cubic meters, is a water protection area and drinking water reservoir.

A narrow path leads around the Kloppbruchweiher pond above the reservoir within the "Kloppbruchswiese" natural monument. You then reach the hiking parking lot on the country road. Here you can take a detour to the Celtic ring wall or the Celtic village with the national park visitor center.Below the summit of the Kahlenberg, we hike back along cool, shady paths through the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park.
