Family tour on Lake Hohennauener-Ferchesar

The holiday area Hohennauener-Ferchesarer See can be explored on a day trip with the whole family. The journey across the elongated lake with the surrounding villages always rewards with new impressions. Boat rentals are available in almost all towns around the lake. The excursion starts in the village with the curious name Wassersuppe on the north shore. In Hohennauen, various mooring options are available after a short tour, including at a fish restaurant and café right on the lake. After 3 km, the holiday resort Semlin welcomes its guests on the southern side of the lake. Here too, there are some nice restaurants.Returning to Wassersuppe, a refreshing swim at the beach is recommended as a conclusion.An extension of the tour is possible by taking a detour to Ferchesar. From the town known as the Pearl of Havelland, there is a wonderful panoramic view. Length / Duration: 9 km (approx. 3h) Start / Finish: Wassersuppe Arrival / Departure: Public Transport: From Berlin Hauptbahnhof take the RE4 to Rathenow. Continue from here with bus 684 (Rhinow) to Wassersuppe (approx. 2h). Car: From Berlin via B5, B188, and B102 to Wassersuppe (approx. 2h). Route: Wassersuppe, Hohennauen, Semlin, Fechesar, Semlin, Wassersuppe Tour description: Entry at the waterway rest area, continue west, then to Hohennauen. Here you can moor at the fish restaurant and café right on the lake (small beach and playground available). Continue the tour back to Semlin on the southern shore of the lake. In Semlin, there is a guest dock in the middle of the town, canoes can be pulled ashore on the grass, some nice restaurants, a bathing area a bit further east, return trip over the lake to Wassersuppe or extension to Ferchesar possible. In Ferchesar, at the very end of the lake, there is a bathing area with a slipway. Entry and exit are also possible at the campsite with a restaurant on the north shore. Detour: to Ferchesar (the tour is extended by approximately 8 km).
