N5 Sportliche Tagestour im Neckartal

This varied day tour takes you from the industrially significant town of Neckarsulm to the "Käthchenstadt" of Heilbronn and along the Neckar Valley cycle path via Lauffen a. N. to Germany's largest red wine region - the Zabergäu.

Your tour starts in Neckarsulm, the cradle of the former largest two-wheeler manufacturer NSU, whose history can be experienced in the German Two-Wheeler and NSU Museum. Technology fans will also get their money's worth at the Audi Forum.

The tour takes you along the Neckar Valley cycle path to Heilbronn, where the experimenta, Germany's largest science center, is waiting to be explored. Wine connoisseurs are also recommended to visit the WeinVilla. Numerous restored monuments scattered around the city center bear witness to the former cityscape.Once again, it is the Neckar Valley cycle path that takes you further south to the Hölderlin town of Lauffen a. N. Along the Zaber, the Z1 cycle path takes you in the footsteps of the Romans via Hausen to Dürrenzimmern. From there, the KR1 cycle path takes you via the Waldensian community of Nordhausen and the Flower Summer Park in Nordheim to the Heuchelberg mountain range. A detour to the Heuchelberger Warte is particularly recommended: the tower offers a breathtaking distant view of the Kraichgau and Zabergäu regions.

After following the KR2 cycle path to Leingarten, follow the KR5 cycle path along the Bächlein Lein stream back to the Neckar. At the mouth of the river in Heilbronn-Neckargartach, you will meet up with the Neckar Valley cycle path again, which will take you back to the starting point.
