A journey to famous literary personalities through the valleys of Brettach, Kocher, Sulm & Neckar in the literary state of Baden-Württemberg.
Between the Brettach valley and Neckar valley, the route, which runs along quiet paths, connects (memorial) sites of Württemberg's literary history with an easy cycle tour through a landscape of many "covered" vineyards and rivers.
The first stop is langenbeutingen, the birthplace of Albrecht Goes, who undertook a Swabian journey of the heart by bicycle to the place of his childhood immediately after the Second World War.
Eduard Mörike, like Goes a pastor and poet, had been a parish priest in Cleversulzbach a century earlier and glorified the place in his famous poem "Der alte Turmhahn".
Mörike's ancestors settled in Neuenstadt am Kocher. The end point - after a route with views of vineyards and far into the Neckar valley - is Weinsberg, where Justinus Kerner left his mark as a doctor and poet. His house and the ruins of Weibertreu Castle, which have been preserved from decay, were places of pilgrimage for Swabian Romantics in the 19th century.
