WT3 Steile Anstiege und imposante Ausblicke

This tour is for the really "tough" cyclists. The almost 1,000 meters of elevation gain take their toll on your stamina. However, the effort is well worth it: the reward is quiet spots, beautiful beer gardens and great views.

The first climb, up Kirschenallee in Weinsberg, is a real test of strength. Once you reach the top, you should treat yourself to a detour via the Waldheide. Not only can you give your calves a little rest, but you can also marvel at the extraordinary flora. Continue towards Lake Breitenau.

If the weather is fine, you should take the opportunity to take a dip in the cool water before tackling the next steep climb. Perhaps take a refreshing drink with you just before Rittelhof, either to rub into your aching calves or for internal use. Once you have made the climb to Teusserbad, you have really earned a sip of genuine Löwenstein mineral spring. Linger a little longer in Löwenstein and marvel at the strange figures you will encounter in the castle grounds.

On the somewhat flatter section from Löwenstein to Reisach, enjoy the view of the Breitenauer See before the effort of the ascent demands your full attention. But you can already look forward to one of the most beautiful sections of the route. Once you have completed the ascent to the Steinernes Tisch, you will be rewarded with grape-filled views over the vineyards around Eberstadt.You head back towards Heilbronn via Eberstadt and Erlenbach. You then continue up the Wartberg and cycle around Heilbronn's "local mountain" once before comfortably reaching the starting point in Weinsberg.
