The "Hochwälder" is one of the "Saar-Hunsrück Dream Loops", which for the most part runs parallel to the "Stausee-Tafeltour", the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig and the "Bergener". The "Hochwälder" is characterized by varied forest passages with beautiful clearings and idyllic stream valleys.
The ten-kilometre trail is accessible all year round and is particularly suitable for families. It is classified as easy as there is only a small difference in altitude to overcome. You should plan two and a half hours of walking time.The trail has been rated by the German Hiking Institute with 77 experience points.</p
