Open, extensive meadow and field passages through a slightly hilly landscape provide fantastic views. In between are forest passages and streams with marshy areas. This family-friendly tour only has one short, steep ascent. Shortly before Mitlosheim, the Rittscheidhütte invites you to take a break.

Gorgeous views, short rustic bush and forest passages and refreshing streams provide a lively change of pace. Rare animal and plant species are hidden in the seemingly enchanted marshlands, making for a very special nature experience. Gentle inclines, soft grass and forest soil and a family-friendly length of 14 km make the trail particularly enjoyable for experienced hikers as well as inexperienced beginners. The certified premium trail owes its name to Dr. Hanspeter Georgi, the former Saarland Minister of Economic Affairs, who, as an enthusiastic hiker, played a key role in promoting nature-loving tourism in Saarland.The trail was awarded 73 experience points by the German Hiking Institute.
