WT12 Wald- und Wiesentour Löwenstein

On the circular tour in Löwenstein, you can enjoy great views of the small mountain town of Löwenstein and the surrounding Löwenstein mountains along wine, forest and meadow paths.

The starting point for this hilly forest and meadow tour is the Stutz parking lot near the two lions. Past the Freihaus via the town church up to the castle towards the viewing platform where you can enjoy your first refreshment at the kiosk. You will be greeted below the viewing platform by the "Sweet Fruits", one of the Löwenstein viewing points. After crossing the B39, the route climbs up to the clinic. A longer stretch on paved forest paths continues in the direction of Lautertal, past Joachimstal and on through the extensive Lustheimerwaldweg to Hirrweiler. Pass the "SchäferStündchen" viewing point, cross the B39 and begin the descent. Lichtenstern, the former monastery, is the next destination, then continue in the direction of Löwenstein to the starting point.
