Walk in the footsteps of the poet Friedrich Hölderlin between "Katzenbeisser" and the mouth of the Zaber river.

You start your tour at the contemporary work of art "Hölderlin im Kreisverkehr" by Peter Lenk with a view of the Hölderlin monument. The route takes you directly up to the famous "Katzenbeisser" vineyards. You will be rewarded with a breathtaking view over the town of Lauffen with the landmarks Rathausburg and Regiswindiskirche. At the hiker's feet lies the home of the excellent Lauffen wine: the gnarled vines of old steep slopes and the picturesque Zaber river line the panoramic trail. Back in the town, another highlight awaits all those interested in literature with the Hölderlinhaus.

After these literary delights, you should pay a visit to the historic old town of Lauffen with its picturesque alleyways and numerous wine taverns and also pay some attention to the culinary delights of our wine region.
