Allstedt is located southeast of Sangerhausen in the Helm Valley on the Romanesque Road. At the edge of this historically significant small town, at the foot of the Castle Hill, you will find the parking lot Unter den Linden.

This is where our tour begins, where we first pass by the Vorwerksteich, walk past the bathhouse towards the castle. The route takes us through the beautiful Rohnetal with natural wetlands. Along the country road, hikers can enjoy a wide view from the Golden Aue to the Kyffhäuser and the Vorharz mountains.

This easy circular tour offers idyllic rest areas and passes by the small village of Klosternaundorf.

Tip: If you want to learn more about the history of the imperial palace and the site of the Reformation, you can visit the castle and palace of Allstedt - a visit to the museum is worthwhile!
