This varied circular hike leads through a magnificent mixed forest and beautiful meadows to the foot of the Hohe Linde.

From the viewpoint of the Moltke Watchtower, you can overlook the entire landscape around Sangerhausen. At the summit of Schlösschenkopf, this 26-meter-high tower, named after Field Marshal Helmuth von Moltke, was built of limestone and handed over on 03.07.1903. The Moltke Watchtower has limited opening hours.

The view sweeps over the southern Harz foothills with the panorama of the district town of Sangerhausen, the Golden Aue, and the nature park of the Kyffhäuser Mountains.

If you want to learn more about the history of copper mining, you can visit the Wettelrode Show Mine. Only about a 10-minute drive away.
