Then, follow the path in Kastental to Helenenruh (stamp 160). From here, continue towards Bremer Klippe. Next, walk over Füllenberg to Kreuztalklippe (stamp 162). Then, descend via Cuerskopfweg and return along the main road to the starting point at the Museum.

Route description

This is a moderate hike of approximately 9 km in which 2 stamp stations of the Harzer Wandernadel are visited. The hike starts at the Museum in Wieda. Then, head to the hiking trail in Kastental, the Wiedaer Hüttenweg. The Hüttenweg was previously used to transport red iron ore extracted from the Wiedaer and Zorger mining areas to the blast furnaces in the valley using horse-drawn wagons. The Hüttenweg is marked with 33B and a blue cross and leads to Helenenruh (stamp 160). After that, follow the Kaiserweg, marked with an imperial crown. The Kaiserweg (Harz) is a thematic long-distance trail that crosses the Harz over a total length of about 110 km and eventually also the Kyffhäuser mountains. It leads from Goslar or Bad Harzburg on the northern edge of the Harz, over the Harz to Walkenried in the south, and then on to Nordhausen to Tilleda at the Kyffhäuser. The route then goes to Bremer Klippe. From Bremer Klippe, you have a beautiful view of the elongated spa town of Wieda and Ravensberg near Bad Sachsa. Continue over part of the Harzer Baudensteig past Füllenberg to Kreuztalsklippe (stamp 162). After the third and final stamp of todays tour is recorded in the hiking pass, the descent begins via Cuerskopfweg and then along the main road back to the starting point.
