Three Valleys Tour

The Three Valleys Tour leads through the Harz National Park. The approximately 16.9 km circular hiking trail starts at the HarzWaldHaus in the spa park. The pure hiking time of the moderate tour is around five hours. The recommended direction after reaching the Philosophenbach is to the left in a clockwise direction towards Molkenhaus.

Description

The Three Valleys Tour leads through the Harz National Park. The approximately 16.9 km circular hiking trail starts at the HarzWaldHaus in the spa park. The pure hiking time of the moderate tour is around five hours. The recommended direction after reaching the Philosophenbach is to the left in a clockwise direction towards Molkenhaus.

From the meeting point at the House of Nature, you pass over the B 4 bridge into the Kalte Tal with its Fairy Tale Forest and high ropes course. At the high ropes course, there is a short ascent to the Hermann-Löns-Bank at the Philosophenbach. You continue to the left along the stream. The symbol of the Three Valleys Tour guides you past the Sennhütte over the old toboggan run up to the Molkenhaus. At Hasselbach, you should definitely try out the forest swing!

You descend via Molkenhauswiese on the Braunschweiger Weg to the Ecker. Once there, the path leads to the right towards Eckerstausee. You walk along the western side of the reservoir until you reach the inlet. In the wild and romantic Eckertal, the narrow path continues towards the Ecker crossing. About 500 m before that, the Three Valleys Tour turns right. You ascend to the Ski Monument on a truly stony path.

Following the symbol, you enter the Radautal. First on a forest road, then on a narrower path with a bench and then directly along the river, you descend to Taternbruch. The next destination is the Radau Waterfall with the forest restaurant. The path leads towards Bad Harzburg, parallel to the B 4. After the bridge to the large parking lot, the Philosophenbach soon comes into view. You follow it to the Hermann-Löns-Bank. After descending past the high ropes course, you pass through the Fairy Tale Forest and over the B 4 bridge back to the spa park.

Attention: The Three Valleys Tour is not designated as a winter hiking trail!
