In constant proximity to the Drei-Kaiser mountains, this is a scenically extensive and varied hike with two steeper ascents and descents, which offers a wonderful view of the surrounding area and the edge of the Alb.
The starting point of the tour is the Romanesque parish church of St. Johannes Baptist, which was first mentioned in a document in 1275. Pilgrims from Wißgoldingen and Weilerstoffel used to use sections of this hiking trail to reach the Hohenrechberg. There is also a grotto on the outskirts of Wißgoldingen with an adjoining Way of the Cross. This leads through a small wooded area up to the Marienkapelle chapel. It is a former place of pilgrimage dating back to 1765.</p
