The hike leads from the beautifully situated Wißgoldingens plateau down into a slightly sloping wooded area. The forest paths are partly gravel and asphalted and are surrounded by small shrubs and wild shrubs. The flat part of the hike runs above the forest through the village of Wißgoldingen, which offers a magnificent view over the Drei Kaiserberge mountains.
The tour starts at the Romanesque parish church of St. Johannes Baptist, which was first mentioned in a document in 1275. There is also a grotto on the edge of the village with an adjoining Way of the Cross. This leads through a small wooded area up to the Marienkapelle chapel. It is a former place of pilgrimage dating back to 1765. Due to the loose and nutrient-rich soil, the plateau around Wißgoldingen is heavily used for agriculture. Extensive fields offer the viewer an attractive sight, especially in summer. The tour also has a beautiful forest path, which is accompanied by small shrubs and flowering shrubs. This mixed forest is also a very interesting area for mushroom pickers.</p
