A moderately difficult tour of approx. 6 km, which combines the town center of Homburg-Kirrberg as well as the forest and the heights to Zweibrücken. The route is characterized by a steady initial ascent from the town center to the lofty heights with a rest stop at the Kirrberg ski and hiking hut.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TOUR ON THE ROAD BETWEEN KIRRBERG AND THE SKI AND HIKING HUT IS NOT YET PERFECTLY SIGNPOINTED AND THE ROUTE DOES NOT YET COMPLETE THROUGH THE FOREST PACKAGE PROVIDED! THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!
The Kirrberger Runde is a very varied and somewhat more challenging hiking trail with the Kirrberger ski and hiking hut as the perfect place to stop for refreshments. The route often takes you along asphalt and gravel paths and past the L 214 country road, which is usually very busy, so the hike is not recommended for families with small children. Dog owners should also keep a watchful eye on their four-legged friends along the country road. The tour ends in the old town center of Homburg-Kirrberg, so those interested can also take a look inside the church.
