Cultural-historical hiking trail from Eppingen to Mühlacker. Excellent quality hiking trail through the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park.
A hike on the Eppinger Line Trail leads along the former defense wall on 41 km total distance from Eppingen, via Sternenfels and Maulbronn to Mühlacker. This cultural-historical hiking trail is ideally suited as a 2-day tour with Sternenfels as the day's destination, but can also be explored in individual sections.
The hiking trail leads through towns, characterized by centuries-old half-timbering, along the Eppingen lines. These were built at the end of the 17th century during the French War of Succession. Through woods and meadows, you will learn about the history of the wide aisles and redoubts and can admire replicas of the charters. 18 information panels provide additional information on the construction and use of the defensive rampart.
Also the landscape pleasure does not come on this migration too briefly. Again and again, breathtaking views over the HeilbronnerLand and the hilly landscape of the Kraichgau await. Along the way, artistic installations and sculptures invite you to engage with the historical events in a special way.
