EP2 - Wander3klang Eppingen

A recommendation for the next "hiking" family outing. With sky ladder, Kraichgaublick & forest feel trail at Jägersee - lots to discover.

The middle loop in the Eppingen hiking triad starts at Villa Waldeck at the hiking parking lot. The garden terrace with a beautiful children's playground is also recommended for a final stop.The first stop is the Himmelsleiter. An impressive climb in the Eppingen forest with 202 steps up to the Baumannshütte. Further on, the tour meets the Eppinger Line - similar to the Limes, an old defense system as a rampart-ditch system with watchtowers (Chartaque).

A short detour takes you to the "Kraichgaublick" viewpoint. From here, you have a wonderful view of Eppingen and deep into the Kraichgau as far as the Odenwald. The small wooden platform with benches invites you to take a break or have a picnic.The route continues over the 310m high Ottilienberg, Eppingen's local mountain, and from there down to the Jägersee lake. Past the Essigbergblick, which also offers a beautiful view, you return to the starting point.

The hiking triads in the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park

The hiking triads in the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park are a uniformly signposted trail system with over 60 circular hiking trails throughout the nature park, offering more than 400 km of hiking pleasure.

A "hiking triad hiking trail" always starts from a marked hiking parking lot. Three circular tours of different lengths always start here, both short tours of between three and five km and half-day and day tours of between 10 and 20 km. So everyone can decide for themselves how long they want to walk.
