Rundgang durch den Stadtbezirk Schwenningen

The city tour takes you on a circular route past the most important sights of the Schwenningen district.

1. The start and end point is the Schwenningen train station. Behind the station building is the former state garden show grounds with the Neckar spring.

2. on the opposite side is the Städtische Galerie with the famous "Lovis-Kabinett".

3. passing the Baden-Würrtemberg Cooperative State University and Furtwangen University, we arrive at Bärenplatz. The famous Bärenbrauerei Schwenningen brewery was once located here.

4. we continue through the "Ob dem Brückle" district. The old half-timbered houses are reminiscent of the time when Schwenningen was still a village. The "art barn", which now houses a pottery, is particularly eye-catching here.Our next destination is the Watch Industry Museum. This is located in the former building of the "Würrtembergische Uhrenfabrik Bürk Söhne". It tells the story of Schwenningen, once the largest watchmaking town in the world.

5. we continue our walk through the Mauthepark and arrive at the Vogtshaus with its impressive Renaissance gable.

6. on the opposite side of the street, we see the oldest church in Schwenningen: the Evangelische Stadtkirche. Its tower is one of Schwenningen's landmarks.

7 Continue past the Hometown and Clock Museum and across Muslenplatz into the pedestrian zone. Now we've earned an ice cream.

8 We return to Schwenningen railroad station. Our tour ends here.
