Enjoy the picturesque river valleys
The landscape here is particularly characterized by the tributaries of the Danube. The water is therefore the accompanying element on this tour.
This cycle tour leads through the valleys of the Ablach, the Andelsbach and theOstrach. From Mengen, you first cycle along the Ablach to the
Zielfinger lakes. The "Haus am See" is a great place to take a break here,From the terrace, you have a wonderful view of one of the many
Lakes. Continue along the lakes through the European
bird sanctuary to Krauchenwies. The Vogelsee is a former
dredging lake and is known for its biodiversity. Many birds nest here
or stop off on their way to their wintering grounds in the south. After the
Ablachtal valley, the route climbs slightly and leads via
Hausen and Zell am Andelsbach until shortly before Kalkreute. Once at the top
Once at the top, the route is now almost flat until shortly before Ostrach
leads back down into the Ostrach valley. The route continues via
Jettkofen and Einhart to Granheim. After Granheim, the route climbs
again briefly and leads over the Missionsberg back to Mengen.
